    i started to say the first one but the second one fools the eye and makes the quilt look more difficult, which is the whole purpose of the pattern.

    i am glad that you decided on the first layout-easier on the eyes! can't wait to see it all finished, remember to post your pictures!!! i love the colors that you picked for this quilt also.

    I agree with obxqwlter about the purple ones on the bottom. Also, the orange are too close. The rest seem to be spread out nicely. In the 2 rows, you have 3 purple and 4 orange. The rest is spread out nicely. Good job!

    I( agree with above ) like #1 and #2 is to busy.
