~~FAINT~~

I cut about 1/3 of my index finger off in May with a rotary cutter. Luckily a doctor lives next door. While he was here cleaning it, I fainted. I woke up on the kitchen floor with his wife and mil standing over me. lol

Oh, and I now have a shield on my ruler

The only good thing about putting a needle through your finger is that it happens sooo fast it doesn't really hurt....until after. I found the finger ached for quite awhile more from the bruising than the puncture. Mine throbbed for several days and I hope yours heals well. Welcome to the club!

Yep did it too! Four paramedics to the rescue since I was "attached" to the machine. Cute guys. No pain for me since I missed the bone. Yep to er. Yep tetnus shot. Yep red face. Yep kept sewing. Happened 6 years ago and luckily no repeat performances! Yes I feel the pain of embarrassment!

Yikes! I did a really dumb move years ago with a #7 steel crochet hook. Tried to put on one of those rubber sleeves to make it easiet to grip and pushed it against my thumb with a wad of paper towels under it. You guessed it, went right through the towels and all the way through my thumb. Had to go have them cut it off to get it out. Felt really stupid sitting in the ER with a crochet hook sticking out of my thumb. Too bad it wasn't Halloween. I'm glad you weren't hurt too bad.
