I love modern quilts ~ I like vintage/traditional also but like you have been moving more towards modern.

Of course traditional was modern during that era, right? I mean when the first log cabin or wedding ring block was made, it was modern to the makers?

What a lovely quilt. I like the white sashing. I've always had a fondness for that shade of green.

I am surprised about the positive comments on the colors! I was leary of them a little but - all the solids are kona cottons (white, navy & artichoke). I would have used a kona midnight (dark navy) on the border but I didn't have any and couldn't spend any more $ so I used the artichoke because I had it on hand. I am glad I did :-)

Oh I love the Neptune line. I'm hoarding mine. I keep taking it out and pet it, but I can't bear to cut it up yet. I might have to start making myself a Neptune quilt just like yours. It's beautiful.

Isn't it hard to cut into lovely hard to find fabric? I have more of these colors/squares cut for my other nephews quilt and then I have a couple of prints in the coral color way - I am saving scraps for my own quilt (or pillow by the rate I am going, I have a lot of nephews).
