Kennedy--my barn buddy and new quilting buddy  :D and I went to my favorite Mennonite fabric store yesterday. I needed to find fabrics to match a piece my MIL wants a wall hanging out of. We've picked the pattern; I needed 4-5 to match.

Here's what I found! It's totally different than what I found in my stash--much richer and consistent. Good for a wall hanging. I changed the order of the strips and I like the red by the gold.

More photos to come....

Here's the other fabrics I bought--

The tan with fern was $3.00/yd
The modas were $3.40/yd--there was about half a yard each
The bears for baby quilt backs was $3.50/yd
The horses and baseballs is for student bookmarks--I only got 1/4 yd each.

Next are pillowcases....

Pillowcases for the craft sale.

I made my son choose fabric he liked for some for Christmas--but I had to twist his arm. 21 year old aren't into fancy pillowcases.

I like the brighter border on the one horse one, but those batiks are inconsistent. I love how the sunflowers look on there.

What a nice haul at the Mennonite quilt shop (I miss the Amish quilt shops in PA). Your pillowcases are great too!!

Great job getting fabric!
I have that grape one you have tucked in there.
The pillowcases are really pretty!
You know, even 40-something year olds are hard to get to decide on fabric for pillowcases. Bill wants one for the ship and I told him to pick some fabric and I'll make him one. He says no...just make me one. He'll be sorry! I'm going to find some girly girl fabric! lol
