My hubby got a package today. He wouldn't tell me what was in it but when I came home from quilt guild, there was a black box sitting in my craft room floor. When I opened it there was a new friend waiting inside.

She's a Singer Featherweight made in December 1952.

Sindy (spelled with an S because she is a Singer and she is simply beautiful). LOL. Feel free not to use it, but when I saw her that's the first thing that popped in my mind.

Did your hubby get her for you?? If he did I would name her a female version of his name if that's possible!! (like Paula for Paul or whatever)

Hubby knows not to get a new fur baby without me (I'm allergic to dogs). Thanks.

I was thinking along the same line. Bridget for Brian example.
DH wants one, DGC call him DA, so that would probably be his name:)
    Congradulations!! she's a beauty!

Woohoo! Great gift! Betty-black Betty? Also a 40's-60's name. I wanted to call one of mine Betty, but my aunt's name is Betty, so doesn't work somehow.

Yup, hubby surprised me with it (I had mentioned that it would be nice to have one for my guild sew bees and retreats). I can't name it after him (his name is a bit unique). Thanks so much.

I believe he's a bit spectacular. I was really glad of the extras, alot I've seen only come with the machine and maybe a pedal, mine came with that, a case, and all the extras. It was wonderful.

I like that one alot. I think it might be hard to use an aunt's name.
