I have finally made my 14 year old American Eskimo, Jake a quilt. This is just the top, my friend has a new midarm and frame. She is going to quilt it for me.

As much as we love this little guy, he ain't getting a hand quilted quilt. That is basically all I know, other than an occasional table runner that I have quilted in the ditch.

Got several photos of him on his new quilt. One trying to escape, one be blinded by the flash and then finally sitting pretty. The last photo is the fabric I will put on the back.

I swear that Jakey is smiling in that second picture. Dancing or lying on a quilt is the biggest compliment that a quilter will ever get.
My GD danced on hers at 2 yrs old and my GS threw his body on his quilt and said Take my picture, Grandma.

You know we all love our fur babies and they love us so much they seem to want to be with us where ever we are. So don't you think they all deserve a little quilt. They are our family too.

I do draw the line at hand quilting, LOL.

It was an easy little quilt. A little over two ours to cut out and piece, it is only 31x37.

And you know something else, we know they will love their quilt. Just have to look at Jake's face. LOL

Thanks, for all the nice words.

Awwww, what a cutie Jakey is!! And what a cute quilt. I agree, every critter should have a quilt. Guinness sleeps on the couch which is covered with a quilt!   And of course, the cats sleep IN the bed!

    Good job, Jakey's mom!!!

    Hugs to both of you!
