That is a beautiful table topper. I just received my pattern in the mail. I purchased it from www.sewwhat-quilting.com It's called "Crazy Eight Strip Teaser" A Table Topper by "The 3/4 Crazies" Lake Havasu City, AZ

Cool colors. I love this pattern, but haven't made one yet.

Okay....I think I have now responded to everyone who made a request for the PDF....if you haven't received yours, send me your email address and I'll get the PDF to you.

Answer to the question, "Can a beginner...." I am far from being a quilter. I am more a crafter!

A couple of things....go to Missouri Star Quilting and watch their video on "tube method" quilting. While the 'puzzle' is not a tube, the METHOD of cutting the triangles is the same.

As long as a person carefully cuts the fabric and carefully sews 1/4 inch seams....everything else is easy!

So the answer is YES a beginner can make the Star Spin or New Orleans Puzzle! This pattern only LOOKS difficult.
