I am still trying to find the perfect purse to make with the zipper and the pockets on the inside. This is one I tried. It is still a little bigger then I usually carry. It has a zippered pouch on the inside on one side and the open pockets on the other. I couldn't get a good picture of the inside due to it being too dark.

On the outside there are two pockets on the side. I use fabrics that I have on hand when I make the first one. That way I am not at a lose of good fabric when I make all the alterations that I want to do. This is a tapestry fabric and the handles and trim are done in a suede/leather feel fabric. The inside lining is just a brown solid cotton.

On to the next one.

Very nice! I too love zippers. The next bowtuck I make is going to have a zipper in it.

Sorry it is not the right size, it certainly is gorgeous. Your fabrics are wonderful.

what would you think of this purse with the top sides of it not angled out so much? And it is 5" by 11" at the bottom. So if I make the depth 4" instead of the 5", and leave it at 11" wide..........and angle the sides in some.......do you think that would look too awful?

There are pockets on the outside on each end. A water bottle would fit nicely in them. The way the curve goes where the straps are fits nicely under the arm. I made the straps 26" so it can go over the shoulder. That is a plus on it.

Any suggestions as to a redesign?

Barb
