I thought I would post some pictures of a quilt I was asked to design and make for a friend. She has two young grand daughters so wanted something bright and something they would use for years to come. Tried looking at novelty fabrics at first then decided that young girls change and they may not like girly girly baby fabrics when older. So this is what I came up with. It is machine quilted (ITD) but the border has butterflies stitched down the sides. I am holding off making the second one until I know that she really likes this one first. Hope it's bright enough :)

It's absolutely lovely! I have a preference for quilts done with tone on tones and solids, where the focus is on the piecing design, rather than the fabric. Yours is just lovely!
