Wow, how much fun is that! You are going to have a HUGE space! Please keep posting pictures as it progresses. It is so fun to see the changes. Your head must be swimming with all the planning! :)

Great going getting the extra electricity. That is so important. My hubby put in extra circuits into my room so that my iron wouldn't make my lights flicker! One idea that I had, was to have him put a light switch at the doorway that operates the one receptacle where my iron plugs in. When I leave the room, it's easy to remember whether I turned off the iron.

    So happy for you!

oh, that will be just wonderful for you. there can never be a room that's too big - you'll always fill to capacity! and there are no way too many outlets. you'll be able to move your machine and iron and task lights around whenever you need to wherever you want to.

we'll be waiting to see great quilts coming out of that room. :D

Athomesewing I loved the idea about the iron switch. I told the Hubs about it last night and he said it was too late for that option. He would have loved it though cause he is always going into my sewing room and turning off my iron even though it is an auto off.

Your room is coming along nicely! Can't wait to see it all done!
I agree, one can NEVER have too many outlets in a room. I've always told hubby that if we build, there will be at least 2 outlets on every wall. He thought I was crazy until we moved into this house. Some walls have outlets, some do not. And of course, where the tv would go,,,at least where WE have the tv, there is no outlet, but thanks to a nice power strip with a long cord, we fixed that problem. Now, he is VERY much agreeing with me about the outlets. lol

I will end up with 14 outlets in a room 15 X 18 I think I will be happy with that. I think he said I have three circuts for my own.

How lucky you are to have that many outlets   I was on my hands and knees under my table saying some not too nice words the other night trying to plug in my light to a power strip which is behind some storage drawers...GRRRRR! I have a 15 ft wall with one stinking outlet on it!! The only good thing I can say..at least I didn't kneel on any invisible pins
