I love the scrappy quilts.... I'm always cutting or tearing up material getting it ready to make more scrappies...... ;-)

I was thinking this direction, too.

Two more possibilities... flip & sew the complementing diagonal cuts together of different originals, you end up with a very scrappy rectangle.

If you sew the diagonals of the two original pieces together, you have little angled triangles.
