Yep, I was thinking black and tan also. Maybe a check of some sort to add to the downhome feel. Or even some polka dots... I think those are always fun!
An apron would be fun! Cant wait to see what you come up with.

How about putting it with other farm type fabrics...barns, tractors, pigs, cows, horses, corn, silos, ducks, sunflowers, etc. Not sure about the pattern though.

You can always cut it into large squares and alternate it with other large squares.

Search for the farm swap and the chicken swaps to see different blocks you could make.
    Lovely fabric.

That is such cute fabric. Maybe a snowball block with that as the focal fabric.

You don't mention how large the piece is; but I would use it as the focus fabric along with white, lt.brown, and black. Maybe chicken wire fabric for the outside border.

Tan, white, blacks as other fabrics

Warm Wishes using that as the fabric for the blocks

It's cute! I think a kitchen wallhanging would be nice...I have seen a cute print of eggs, and the wire print would be a nice border I agree. Maybe just pinwheels? (I like pinwheels). Polka dots, and gingham go with chickens too...but how big of a quilt will this end up! LOL
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
