turned on the news this morning & looked out the window---big mistake! weather man says the wind chill is -20 right now & we have 4-6 foot drifts in the drive- I am so....looking forward to venturing out to {try} to get to work this morning...all of the schools in my area are closed again today- and it's still snowing. seems to be winter in Northern Michigan.

I really like how this turned out. It must be awesome to be a pattern tester. What fabric is this? It looks like it could be a flannel. Is it? If not, it certainly gives that feel and that is why it looks so warm and cozy. Great job!!!

there are no flannels in this quilt- I used mostly batiks, a mottled blue/gray with metallic snowflakes on it, a dark blue with white stars, a sparkly white with bare tree branches and a solid lavender broadcloth. the backing is a wide back I found at fabric.com that I liked sometime ago and have had *hanging around* - finally found what I thought was the perfect quilt to use it on.

I can almost hear the wind blowing from the quilting and fabrics. Great job and lucky you to be a tester.
