Thanks to the post by quiltbugs about this online fabric site http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/19166.page I was able to order the fabric that I had already picked out for this pattern for my son. Instead of $104 it cost me $66!!

The fabric is Indigo, Pewter and Honey by Julie Rothermel and I chose it because of the masculine look. The pattern is No Diamonds In The Sky. I really dislike doing diamonds so this is a good one for me. I've added the actual fabrics to this picture to make sure that what I ordered for each fabric was going to look right.

I already have a lot of projects planned but, such a good price on the fabric I already wanted I couldn't pass it up.

I can post which fabric is which from the collection if someone wants it. the quilt is 92" x 92".

    Pam,
Your new quilt is going to be so pretty. I am so glad to know, that you got such a great price on the fabric for it. It's always nice to get a bargain, isn't it? I will be anxiously looking for progress on this quilt.
    Happy Sewing,
    Cheryl

Yep, it's just like the Broken Star but it's not made with diamonds, it's all triangles.

Wow, Pam - - I just LOVE that design and those colors. I am really drawn to those subdued shades like indigo & mustard and a lot of the civil war-type fabrics, and that fabric place (whittles) has many of those to choose from. I already placed my second order with them last night.

I forgot to mention - - in my first order, they also sent me a really pretty FREE FQ and a handwritten "thank you card"....I don't know if that is something they do all the time, but it sure was nice to get that little bonus! They seem to be a very customer-oriented business.

    A week! I couldn't do that in a week!!

Better make it 8 days... just to be safe.

The name would be.... Let's see. Broken Star? It's not diamonds so Un-broken Star? Un-chained Star? Un-chained Melody? That's it:

    Unchained Medly.

Would I have to share my stash? And do you cook?

I thought about naming it something Diamond... there are No Diamonds. Then I thought of the Hope Diamond and thought "No Hope"? "False Hope?" But that sounds pretty depressing!

Share your stash? Absolutely! lol As for cooking, I can dial the phone and order take aways, does that count? ;-)

I like the "unchained medley"... but what about something to do with fake diamonds? Zirconia (sp) hope.... or .... I got nothin.... but it does look like there are diamonds in it so the fake aspect would be quite cool. I'm sure you'll come up with something... I have total faith in you! LOL
