What you are calling black looks very green to me. But it goes well with those colors.
Whishing that you get well soon.

Sorry to hear about your wrist!! Hope it is feeling better. As for that black, I'm not so sure about how that would look together with the others. I'd sure like to see it when you get it done. Sometimes my eye for things blinds me to some really great contrasting looks.

Since I have a snake phobia, I'd change to another black, but Love, Love the other colors. I broke my wrist on Thanksgiving, as well as an ankle and a foot, so I'm right there with you! The timing couldn't have been any worse! I hope you're healing super fast and will be able to get back to what you love to do soon!

Bless your heart! I didn't know about your wrist wolph. I hope it heals cleanly and that you have no problem using it.

Love the black, especially since it has that little bit of yellow in it to make that color in the other fabrics pop -- great choice!

Hope you're all better and sewing again real soon. Whatever you choose to go with those gorgeous fabrics is going to make one fabulous quilt. Your work is always so fantastic.

So sorry to hear about your wrist. I'm sure that is tough to look at this fabric and not be able to work on it. Hopefully you'll heal quickly. I can't wait to see what becomes of this material. I've been bit by the quilting bug since I joined this group! I don't always get to work in my sewing room as often as i would like because of other responsiblities, but I have gained a lot of desire just seeing what you all are doing. Hope you get to feel better soon.

Sending wishes of speedy recovery to you. I like the dark with the light. I think it will make the colors pop very nicely.

Looks like I will be in the minority with this comment, but I think I'd stay with a dark batik rather than getting out of batiks for just one fabric. My preference would be a deep purple but a black or chocolate brown would work great too. Broke my wrist several years ago; have a plate and 6 screws. Physical therapy made all the difference and though still feels a little different every once in awhile, it's not painful. Just needs a deep massage and some energetic wiggling!
Mistakes are just opportunities to invent a new quilting technique!
