OMG my hubby is trying to fix my speed control on my frame, it just freaked out and went to hypersonicdrive!!! Not to panic, I've already got a bypass planned (jimmy rig central) if he cannot fix it. I've still got another 6 hours of quilting! Yikes!

yeah, unfortunately his father's attitude (my ex) shows thru ~ but deep down inside he's a good kid. He is a softy when it comes to his girls, tho, that's what counts.

Still trying to figure out the wiring problem, told hubby gimme back my handles without wires, I'll bypass with my foot pedal, just have a smaller L-R field to work on (cord limitations)... I'm getting ready to start again for the day, dragons are fed, and I've had mondo coffee with Peppermint flavoring yum.

well, we never did get the wiring figured out. Not sure what the heck happened, we tried rewiring every configuration possible. Very klunky and awkward trying to use the foot pedal with foot, and steer with hands. That was a whole 'nother body motion that I wasn't programmed for at the last minute. So, presented the quilt, and while they are on their honeymoon, I'm doing the last few hours of quilting the old fashioned way, without the frame. Hubby is determined to figure out that wiring for me soon.

Wedding was beautiful, and we had great weather for the drive both ways. Kids and I had lots of fun even tho daddy was missing from our group... was glad to get home to him :)

So here are pics as the quilt was presented, basically I have a few more hours of FMQ to do, then pack it up and ship it back to groom's mom for safekeeping :)

laid on hotel bed... looks nice, even tho not 100% finished!

this is the scalloped corner, and what I designed to fit the shape... large feather plumes around long border edges...

this is the overall swirl pattern that went around the white interior

the back is a pale yellow with a butterfly print

ha ha ha don't they look like they're having fun ROFL ~ kids never like the cermony!

at brunch with my family the next morning (Don Shula's restaurant, very good food!) my son ordered flapjacks, and they were larger than his head! I don't know where he put all that food!

of course its always good to be back home...

and I got to meet up with a childhood friend on the trip home, too ~ hadn't seen her in years! we met the summer my parents divorced, and have been friends ever since, writing / emailing and getting together when we can
