Moving into making some cloths for my great niece. First attempt at making a nightie for her. Next project is a summer dress for her.

Too cute! She and her Mom will treasure them.

Brings up memories of the nightgowns and pj's that one of my aunts used to make us every Christmas. Our Mom got in the habit of running her hands over all of the seams before she would let us put them on -- Aunt Mary used to leave pins in sometimes!

So, check for pins!

so sweet ! can this be used as a dress too? This is wonderful, reminds me of my days when I sewed for my own little one.

My gosh! Beautifully done! Cute, cute, CUTE! and excellent sewing. Love the fabric, pattern, and eyelet. Such a lavish gift, really.

I absolutely love your nightie. Now, take into account that I haven't made little girl dresses (I had two boys), but I might rethink the elastic on the sleeves. I would be afraid that the sleeves would be pulled up when she sleeps and cut off the circulation in her arms. I know this happens to me if I have a tight wrist area and pull it up to do dishes or something.
