I am totally bummed- in my haste to get a quilt off yesterday I forgot to take a picture that has NEVER happened before ! This lap quilt was comprised of my friend's mom's blocks she left when she passed on last year. My friend sent them to me hoping that i could do something with them. I threw them all together( scrappy ) and it turned out cute. I wanted to get it off to her fast as she was traveling to Austin, TX from NM to be with her sister who was in hospital. I originally thought I would give it to my friend's daughter ( her grandmother made the blocks) for a future baby, but learned they are not having children and the next day my friend's sister landed in the hospital and my friend is on her way ther to stay for a month. Hmm............ I think that this will be a good surprise for these two girls to have MOM around them this week don't you?? Things have a way of working out and I am looking forward to seeing the quilt with the two girls then i will have my picture ;).

I love it when a quilt carries such meaning. I think it will be wonderful for them to have their mom with them in a quilt. Very nice of you!

Yes I am sure she will in fact it should arrive today :):) Can't wait to hear :) I am starting a baby quilt today for my daughter's friend due in June ;)
