I made this quilt for my in laws for Christmas. Of course, I ran out of time for Christmas and they just received it today. They loved it! It was quilted on my mom's friends long arm with a pine tree design. I laid this out on my bed after I got done with it and was heartbroke to give it away. I think this is my favorite one so far.

I can see why you would hate to give it away! It's beautiful. The trees in the quilting were a wonderful idea! Nice work!

I love it! Did you use a pattern? I have a lot of wildlife prints ad panels. Gonna bookmark this for future reference!

I did use a pattern. It was from a magazine I purchased not that long ago. I believe it was called Land of Lincoln. I will get you the magazine information shortly.

This pattern is called Land of Lincoln from the Oct. 2010 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. I would like to do this one again with Civil War reproduction fabrics!

I don't live in the Adirondacks, though it has been a dream of mine since I was young and my grandfather took me camping on Cranberry Lake. I have spent a lot of time in Old Forge, Inlet, and on Eighth Lake but the visits have been very few over the last few years due to finances. I can't wait to get back though. Its time my almost two year old son experience the beauty of nature the Adirondacks has to offer. Lucky you to live there!
