Why did I ever think this would be an easy block? I changed the last 8 blocks in the patriotic quilt because I thought they were too simple and too much like another block in the quilt. This is similar but it has the star in the middle. But it's a whole bunch of 2 1/2" pieces!

The first parts of piecing go slow, I know, and I'm sure once I get past putting together all the little parts it will be done in no time. It's just getting there that has taken days. And somehow I messed up on the point of the blue star in the upper right. Looks like I didn't have the lines on the 45 degree angle when I squared it up.

I totally think it's worth the effort - that is a really nice block. It's going to look great in your quilt. :D

I think it is well worth the extra time. Most special things like that usually are!

    Have fun!

That will be a fantastic quilt when its finished and so worth the effort. The blocks may be fiddley, but the effect is awesome.

    Way to go!

I love that pattern, Pam. I'm not seeing where you said you messed up...
