not quite twin quilts in pink
I started another post about a friend having twins. I made pink quilts for her, then received the shower invitation stating the nursery would be farm animals, barn red, yellow, cream, and green. Even though I know my gift does not have to match the nursery - I want it to outlast it! - I knew I had a top already pieced that would be perfect for one of them and a friend had similar fat quarters for the second one. That thread is here:

So here are the pink quilts I had already made for them - just waiting now for some little baby girls I don't know about yet. The patterns are 3-yard patterns from Fabric Cafe. Minky on the back - no batting. The Pokey Little Puppy fabric is from fabric.com
There is not much quilting in them since they don't have batting. I just zigzagged around sections of the blocks.

It's funny, but I've written before about my quilts talking to me. These pink quilts were MEANT for this new mom. I bought the fabric with her in mind. BUT... the whole time I was working on them they just didn't feel right. When I pulled out that farm animal top it was ... right! She absolutely loved them at last week's shower. They got the biggest AWWWWWW from the group - all good! These pink ones will speak to me someday and find the perfect home.
