Thank you I think I'll leave it & finish it.
I have enough fabric to make another.
I just hope it comes out the way I plan it.....

Isn't it amazing how in the 2 feet from your design wall/floor, a carefully planned design, probably hours in the making, just goes completely haywire?

You really have to laugh about it.

    Been there, done that.

And in this case, yeah, I would reverse sew it. Unless you change the outside blocks to make a complete X with dark lines going through the whole quilt.

Without that, the 2nd design, as is, is just not as defined as the first one, and looks a bit too scrappy.

So, what's your favorite type of seam ripper?

And seems I'm in the minority. And so it goes. ;) ;)

I'm glad...the first one is awfully pretty too but the second one makes those blocks pop!

I know it would personally drive me crazy since I knew what it was suppose to look like... it all depends on how you are with things like that - are you a let dogs lie or a fix it so you can forget it?

If it were mine I would re do it. I love when a square on point forms within a design as in your planned layout in pic #1. I am not as partial to x's. But that is just me.
