i planned on using a black border if my eyes can hold out to get that far. thanks for the suggestions and encouragement. i needed someone elses opinions.

Comes up looking a lot better in the OBW than the original fabric. Somehow the concentration of the colors by the process kind of levels them out and makes them more pleasing. It is still very bright but blends together better. Good work.

My son loves that fabric...made lounge pants from it. I used the scraps in a red/black/white quilt for DGS...hard to keep from having any of the gold in the squares...but the OBW changes it all.

Your OBW is coming out great! Do you have more blocks with predominantly red but some gold? I'd add some more of them to the left side if you do.

Connie, I would never have imagined that the fabric you used would turn out so well! I like bright colors, so I like this one. I did a OBW, but it was called Stack 'n Whack back then.

This is SUPER! :thumbup:
