very cool- I like the way you maintained the placement and ration of darks to light on the front- makes it look like a very abstracted version of the panel.

Your work looks great, but I need information. I would like to see the panel you started with before cutting and also, what is OBW ?

Hey, Toogie - always good to ask questions! I had the same question not so long ago and am happy to share my new understanding. OBW stands for One Block Wonder, and the panel that was used is shown on the back of the quilt (second picture). Caroline used 6 of those panda panels stacked up to create the hexagons. It's such a fun technique and really addictive!

Thanks Gemm for your reply to my inquiry. I think I asked this before ( and May again&#128580 I just couldn’t remember how it’s done. I know one time I used a printed border and cut the pieces for a block all the same but I think it may be called fussy cutting. I guess this obw is not the same…. I made Christmas runners.
