Ocean quilt finished - virtual quilt day project

I was determined to figure out my quilting plan for this mini on Sunday. Got that done. Took a couple more days to actually finish the project though. 22" square. I called it Ocean cause of the sand dollar fabric and the border looks like what you see playing "Broken Bottle". That's a game I played as a child. Sit down where the waves break and get tossed around. You wouldn't catch me playing that now!

Beautiful little quilt, it almost makes me think I can hear the waves, smell the salt air and hear the seagulls! Well done.

Pretty "cool" colors. You did a good job on the quilting.

Very relaxing quilt and the name suits it. The blues are so soothing. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the close ups! Your hand quilting is beautiful. Perfectly compliments this soothing and very aptly named quilt.

It's gorgeous! Love the dutchmans puzzle squares...just like the surf going round and round.
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

That is delightful. It does remind me of the ocean on a clear day. Thank you for showing your work.

Have an image in my mind of a young child being tossed by the waves; something one doesn't grow up doing in the middle of farm country! Great quilt.
