    Hi Everyone

    I enjoyed making this

    http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransso...ice-quilt.html

quilt from ohfransson so much, that i just had to make one for my mom in her favorite color. Apparently purple doesn't rhyme with any word in the english dictionary, or so i've been told. and i haven't thought of one yet, have you? i speak low german and 'gnerple' works. don't even ask what it means! :)

anyways, just thought i would share these with you. it'll be a lap quilt, and i'm looking forward to giving it to her for CHristmas.

Your quilt is very pretty, but the snow is getting my attention, too. Glad we didn't get any, yet. I'm thinking about going south in Nov and Dec. Again I like the purple and your quilt is great.

hehehe!! I don't know what gnerple means, but I have heard it since I was little. isn't that funny. As for a rhyme for purple, you should ask Dr. Seuss. He has tons of rhymes for words. and many have actually gotten into the dictionary. go figure.

How about the purple turtle? The purple is beautiful, and the dots on the back go with the ones on the front.

    or syrple, as in
roses are red, violets are purple,
give me some pancakes, with maple syrple.

When I was a kid, the closest we ever came to rhyming with purple was "Steve Urkel."

Wow, that's very pretty! So modern and yet has a vintage feel to it as well. I love it!

Like others I can't believe the snow in the background! We were at 86 degrees today so snow isn't something I even think about! :)

I love that pattern! With the snow in the background, it looks like the white in the quilt are windows! :D

I was thinking the same thing wolfkitty. The late author of the song of "The King of The Road" coined that I think. Roger Miller?
