That's wonderful, but I think it should have won first place!

Such a beautiful piece. I'm so glad that you won and were able to see the live feed. That had to be exciting. What's next?

    Thanks, everyone.
Yes, it was exciting to watch the live feed. My BFF and I were on Messenger watching from different cities and it was nerve wracking. We kept posting jokes to each other to break the tension.
All told, it took about 2 1/2-3 months to make.
No, I don't have anything planned for next year. Not one idea to my name.
The quilt that won was an owl and had beautiful thread painting all over it. It also won the Aurifil Challenge.

congratulations, but why 2nd? didn't they see all that beautiful work, and piecing and placing the proper color in the perfect places. you deserve first for this piece of art.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

The quilt that won first place in my division at Quilt Canada also won the Innova Third Place Overall Award at Paducah last week.
Here is a link to it.... https://canadianquilter.com/national...ookpik_full-2/

    It's really an outstanding piece.
