Default Ohio Stars/Double Irish Chain

Woohoo! I finally have a this one all finished! It has been in the UFO pile for at least 15 years! I did a wandering loopy design for the quilting, which is the only stitch I can do semi-adequately so far. My hand is giving me some trouble, so I can't do any hand sewing, so I machine stitched the binding with a decorative stitch that kind of looks like stars. Even though my mother wants it for herself, it's going to be a gift for her BFF of almost 50 years.

I used this as the reverse for my Double Irish Chain that I posted about previously.

That's beautiful. Colors and design, front and back, all of it. Looks very comfy, too. Congrats on getting it off the UFO pile. Your mom's friends will be so touched by your generous gift .

Yea! Well done! This is beautiful both sides.. I just saw some quilts with decorative stitching on binding and I am so inspired. Now, you've fanned the flame with yours. Looks incredible.

Great job. The colors and pattern were meant for each other.

Super. I have some quilts that have been in the oven for almost as long. I guess there is hope for me yet to get them done. Congratulations on your finish. Love the stitch on the binding. BrendaK

Love them both but especially love the Ohio Star top. Great patriotic quilt. On my bucket list. Great FMQ job too.
