Ok Marji, this is not grandmotherly!!

My friend has been bugging me for a quilt and I've put it off, because she's not nostalgic at all, not a big fan of florals or classic quilt patterns. I saw this pattern in Quilt Dec/Jan 13 issue. They had done it in solid pastels, but I thought it would work perfectly for her. I send her a picture of this and she said it couldn't be more perfect for her if she picked it out herself, so that's cool.

It is tricky to select a quilt pattern for non-quilty people. You did very well with this.

Love the pattern and love your fabric choices. Now I have to dig up that issue of Quilt, because your version is going on my to-do list. Great job!
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.
