I can imagine it in a quilt! It's amazing! Maybe on point and every other block solid, so you won't have to make so many. But it should get easier the more you make. If not, well, it would make a lovely center for a table topper or wall hanging. I would say a throw pillow, but they usually get too much wear for all that work. Please show us what you end up turning it into.

You met the challenge very well/ I do not think I would have even attempted this. Great job!

Wow! It is hard enough to line up the points but you were also attempting to line up the elements of the fabric. You did a great job.

Looks like something out of Jinny Beyer's book "Encyclopedia of Quilt Blocks". Looks like one of her fabric lines as well. Hats off to you for attempting such a bugger. I think Jinny hand pieces her stuff like that.

Have you ever tried using glue instead of pins for something like that? I like Arlene's Tacky Glue. It is water soluble and very thick and sticky so a little tiny dot of it hold your pieces in place and when you stitch those points stay lined up! Try using it on your next tricky block like this, I think you will be pleased with the results.

You are so correct. Ok folks- I've now got my mission lined up.

To answer a question on the fabric, yes it is a Jinny Beyer fabric. The block is a modified Job's Troubles.

Thank you to all for your comments. Thank you Feline Fanatic for your product recommendation.

If I was using solid or tone on tone fabrics, I would be able to paper piece. When using a print like I have done, I have to fussy cut identical motifs from the fabric and have them match up in the finished block. So cutting takes a very long time.

But the good news is that I'm relatively young and have a good long time ahead of me to make a spectacular quilt
(God willing).
