Looks great! I've been trying to choose fabric for an OBW and I'm finding it hard. I've bought an Asian print and I'm hoping it will work. I'm doing a class in May so I have a little time. Meanwhile, I hope to get at least a little caught up with quilts I already have underway.

Awesome! It never ceases to amaze me what beautiful blocks come from a humble fabric.

Your (future) quilt looks great. Can you tell me how many yards of fabric you started with and estimate how big the hexagon part of your quilt will be?

I plan to start cutting tomorrow...a little scary!

Can someone help me out here. I want to make one of these, they are so beautiful! OK, I purchased Marti Michells book, Kaleidoscope ABC's, and I have the Kaleido-ruler coming in sometime next week. So I thought I was all ready, but the quilts in the book have 8 sections and the ones I am seeing here on the board seem to have 6....what am I missing?

Thanks so any light you can shed on my confusion.

Nursie76, I think the kalidoscopes are using 8 wedges, and the one-block wonders are using 6 triangles ... the processes are very similar.

Was also looking at a block a fellow guild member, where she fussy cut diamonds to make a star block - and thought that this would work perfectly for her stars too!

It is such magic to see the beautiful patterns emerge.

Cheers,
Linda
