    The piping is a narrow strip sewn on to the main color. This pattern can be found in the book "French Braid Quilts" by Jane Hardy Miller.

    Beautiful work...both the quilt and the quilting!!! LOVE that French Braid pattern, and your quilting did it JUSTICE!!!
