Very Pretty! I have that pattern but have never made it. You make me want to dig it out and get sewing!

For one thing, it's not my colors. I mostly like blues/greens/purples. One of the burgundy prints I got talked into buying I thought was very ugly...but the others are prettier, so made it receed into the background. Sometimes it's not the individual fabrics, but the blend that makes it work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to photograph your beautiful quilt and showing it to us! I am inspired for sure now.
A few years ago, I bought the pattern and posted a picture of it above my desk. I started collecting FQs towards it. As I bought them, I tossed them in a large ziploc and kept it in the closet. Eventually, I had the 42 FQs to make a large queen quilt. The funny thing is, I still haven't completed that one. The star part of the blocks are all assembled, just need the rectangles around it. I put it aside to do other projects, but will get to it eventually. I picked a variety of colors because I liked the one on the cover. I think I'll create another post in the Pictures section to show the other colors I have made this in.

I have seen this in at least three different color schemes and loved it every time. Yours came just as lovely. She is going to adore it!!

It is such a cool quilt! Maybe I'm going in the wrong direction here (still a novice so I'm shaky on what is traditional vs. modern), but it strikes me as a very appealing mix of traditional blocks but with a very modern look. I really like it!
