To say I've been slow to start this winter would be an understatement. I made this wall hanging for a fund raiser for our local sled dog races. The fabrics reminded me of the Northern Lights so thought that might fit in with the sled dog theme somewhat.

It's very beautiful. I wouldn't worry about making only one thing. Something of that beauty clearly took time. :)

The pattern is called Elusive Wanderer. I bought this last year at our local quilt shop hop... Can't remember the maker but can find out if anyone is interested.

Thank you for your kind words and warm welcome.

Your fabric is beautiful. Living in Labrador I have seen the northern lights many times and you are right the fabrics reflect them nicely. Great job.

What a wonderful piece of art work that you have created!! It's just beautiful, I love it & the colors. Do you have sled dogs yourself? My cousin in Seattle has two sled dogs & loves them to pieces.

Not I don't. I live in snow country but I prefer inside activities during the winter. LOL Summer I garden so then I stockpile and get all the fresh air I need for the winters..

A small community south of me hosts the races each winter - if they have snow. My neighbor started hinting then flat out asked if I would do a fund raiser "quilted" item. I thought this might be the incentive I needed to get me moving.

Thank you for all your kind words.
