    This is the third quilt I made, from about 10 years ago. I made it for my then 90 year old father-in-law - a ProudToBeIrish kind of guy. <3

    It's a triple irish chain made with st patrick's day kinds of fabrics. I machine stitched various shapes in the open blocks - hearts, shamrocks, stars, etc...; and made one of the blocks from Bingo fabric (he was an avid player at the Church). He and my mother-in-law have since passed away, so I brought it home with me.

    I'm glad I pulled it out, as it needs a washing Desperately! Dust and spots... yikes. no snakes, though. (well, of Course not! We're talking Ireland here, donchaKnow. lol...)

    I Love it! Your right it is a very Irish quilt. Beautiful... I'm sure he loved it very much.

    You did a great job. I have always loved that pattern. But not yet brave enough to try.
