    I think I'd go with a lighter sashing, to make the blocks "pop".

    I have to agree that you would be better off without the sashing. That way, once it's all together you'll be able to see the pattern made by the block sides coming together.

    I usually like sashing but in this quilt I like the blocks together as the secondary design emerges and adds another dimension! Just my take on things!! Lovely idea for your boss she will love it!1
