I'm gonna say black. The black seems to tie it all together. The red just draws my eyes to the binding. BTW you have a beautiful table runner.

I'm a sucker for black. Here I think black binding would frame the runner quite nicely. You have red squares on both ends of the table runner and I think the red binding and the red squares wouldn't look appealing together (but that's just my preference).

Red because to me it more of a Christmas colour..
I am surprised in the shops this year there are a lot of black Christmas decorations
