I started this in 1993, never thinking it would go this far! I'm pretty proud of how far i've gone.. I now quilt the fabric to back these and LOVE the part when it all comes together and they make this huge chain... !! there are about 150 this year! :D

What a wonderful idea. Love your design choice and how you have the year and your intial on each one. What did you use to give it some body?

I choose a backing fabric then machine quilt it with batting ... i have a mid arm and look for reasons to "quilt fabric"!! I then cut that in strips and use "Ultra Bond" ultra... lay the embroidered item(usuall 3 to a hooping) on top and fuse them.
This year i had some surgery so the date had to be added with a sharpie!!! had to cut down on stitch out time.. and used glitter pain for a fill in of the skipped colors during stitchout.. (Where there's a will, ya' know)... i'm pretty happy with these..! Sometimes getting "funky" pays off!!!! thanks for looking... bj

I never knew you exchanged 150 ornaments. I always thought you did just a handful. Boy, am I ever a slacker !
