A narrow brown then a wider blue and brown paisley if you can find such a thing. If not, a narrow blue and a wider brown print from the quilt - are those pansies?

It is a beautiful quilt. I think I might would go with a narrow border of the off-white (or cream) and then a wider border of the brown with the swirl in it if you have enough. A plain brown would also work. Or you could do the narrow border from one of the lightest blues.

Beautiful! I would think a cream on the inside border and a thin brown, just because I tend not to like thicker brown borders as much.

I like the idea of a dark boarder but not too wide.

I like a double border...narrow inner, wider outer borders, then a binding same or similar color to the inner border. That seems to be my favorite way to go anyway. :)

I find it best to "sample" a few ideas. Spread out the quilt and fold up or tuck under the edge what you want to try out for the borders. Sometimes you find something that looks better than your original plan. The only thing I'd avoid is using the busier prints. I'd use a marble or tonal so you don't lose the focus on the center of the quilt. Do you have any fabric left? Show us some options! :)

Edit: forgot to say I love your quilt!

Thanks so much for all of your encouragement.Yes, the bown is pansies, and I do have 2 more yards left...I like the narrow than wide idea, but need even more as it has to be a King, and I didn't realize it till yesterday. Now I REALLY need borders! What do you think of a strip about 5" wide of brown or blue--then a 5" strip repeating the bargello pattern, and a blue binding???

    Stunning!

May be a smaller blue inner order and a wider brown outer border.

Narrow (no more than 1") of the brown solid, then a medium blue wider border. Bind it brown.

But ... lay the border fabric down and audition the quilt on it. I sometimes lay mine out and just look at them for a day or two in different light of day before I make a decision.
