I also use stencils for for templates for hand quilting or make my own. Great idea, I saw some of those 1/2 half at Walmart...DUH on me

I bought a whole bucket of them really cheap at Micheal's one time because I didn't see cookie cutters either! They really come in handy.

your right otis..even my grandsons coloring books are not safe!
i once used a part off my husband mototcycle to make a frame pattern :thumbup:

i use a small salad plate to round out corners on quilts!

I'm so glad I'm not they only one who does this. I see people in Church or at the store with cute blouses, dresses or shirts on and I think "Wow that fabric would make an awesome quilt!"

sometimes you can also find wooden shapes by the painting supplies at Joanns or Michaels that work well.
