Yes, the idea of the quilted canvas and painting is from the Dec/Jan issue of Quilting arts magazine. I started with two layers of canvas fabric and thin batting, did very tight quilting, squared the piece up and applied the binding. Then I used regular white acrylic paint to catch the high spots so the pattern became more apparent. Hope this makes sense...
