Fabulous! Love them both. I especially like your border treatment on the second picture(what I can see of it) and that you alternated the blocks with black and white backgrounds. It is especially striking because you did a lot of it in solids. Or at least they look like solids in the picture.

Oh, it takes me back about 16 years!! Did this quilt as a wedding present for DD and SIL!! Yours is beautiful!!

Yes, they were solid backgrounds but the colour placement layout was Pam's suggestion - I couldn't afford printed fabrics back then but did have a variegated yellow striped fabric for the sunflowers which looked so natural - like the streaky veins in petals.
