Panel Baby Quilt
Everytime I buy a panel, I swear it will be my last! They never seem to be printed square, and it is a pain to get a border on them. I have had some nice Moda panels that are workable, but even those had to be tugged and carefully bordered. I keep getting them because they are cute though! Here is one I got to practice FMQ and ruler work, and it has been sitting as an UFO for months. I really hate to bind quilts, so I have a tendency to have quilted sandwiches around for quite a while until they get finished However this one was finished as a baby present for a young father at my church.
BTW: Remember how I said I hate to bind? I thought this two layer flannel "quilt" was thin enough that I should cut my bnding 2 1/4" instead of my traditional 2 1/2". Wrong! I really like the look of the feather stitch for my binding, but I had to hand catch a few spots on the back where my feather stitch didn't catch. Oops.

Great quilt! I agree about the pre-printed panels never being square. I usually border them with something so that I can square up the block before adding other blocks or binding. Love the feather stitching. Will have to try that.
