Default Panel of Colorado Memories 2010

While on a trip out west in 2011, as I was leaving one of the quilt shops I visited, I decided to by a piece of Rocky Mountain Quilt Fever "colorado Memories" 2010

I really did not know what to quilt with it. I looked here on the board, for inspiration and I saw what Becca did here http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...-a-t83562.html
I could not make myself cut into the panel so with some advice from my husband and my sister-in-law, that's what I came up with.

This is my second quilt and I made it a laptop size 64 x 48
I handquilted it and (of course) I made it reversible as is seems to becoming my trademark loll.

I named it "voyage excentrique au Colorado" freely translated as "an excentric trip to Colorado"

simply because this trip that we made was different. A no-plan trip except according to a book written by Jule Verne and the game that is described in his book....
simply because we wanted an excentric trip, different and foolish

if you want to know more and if your like reading, here are some references...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Will_of_an_Eccentric

and the game described in his book is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_the_Goose

but this is another very long story....

and the back side

now, see if I remember how to put the pictures
