This is a paper pieced puppy I just completed. My newfie (in my avatar) Maggie has a best friend Henry (he is a catahoola hound). I saw this pattern and thought it looked like him so I made this for his parents.

My question for all you fellow quilters is what do I do with it? My DH doesnt think they will hang it on a wall? So, should I make it a table topper? a pillow? its too small to incorporate into a quilt, plus I really didnt want to make them a quilt with it. Any idea's?

I think a pillow or what about a tote bag? Don't know why they wouldn't want it on their wall - I think it is adorable. I love catahoulas!

Put corners on the back so they have the option of hanging or putting on a table!

You did a fantastic job with this....looks just like him. I think a pillow would be perfect. I have never seen a Catahoula before...so I looked them up (learn something new here every visit:)).

I vote for a wall hanging. I can not think why they wouldn't want it in any form. You did a great job and very lovely!

I think that I'd frame it for them. You could either quilt it and put it in a shadow box or stretch it over the picture frame backboard with a mat and glass. It would look good as a pillow but if they are not "quilt" people, I'd hate to see all that hard work get ruined.

Great job for sure, love it.....why not make puppy a dog bed with it, small enough and would be a great gift I think. You mentioned a pillow and right away I thought of a dog pillow...what u think......yeah for sure, be so cute

This was my original thought but hubby had a good point that they are NOT going to hang it on a wall.

So far I think the majority is leaning towards a pillow, any other ideas? Henry is not a little dog so a dog pillow would be too big. (he just looks small next to my girl)

I think a pillow is good....As a side note, whenever I saw your avatar I thought your dog had a white t shirt on...now I see I was wrong!!! :)

If they aren't going to put it on the wall ( which sort of says to me that they wouldn't really appreciate the artistry that went into this), maybe you should finish it as a wall hanging for YOU,and take a nice photo of it that you can frame for them, and they can display it with other family photos.
