This weekend I finished my paper piecing project. Whew!

I've attached a photo. Unfortunately it's taken at night and as the flash went off - the colors that are shown aren't "true".

Hope you like it.

The quilt will be hand quilted, and is a gift for my Mother.

Stunning design...and looks pretty tricky too, so well done on all counts...I know you said the colours aren't true, but nice contrasts. Thanks for sharing - lucky Mum!

Hi Kiwi Quilter, wow it does not seem that long ago that you started this one, very nice colour combination and design, lucky Mum!

It feels like this has been all consuming (it hasn't).

I am disappointed with the border. Being unable to purchase any additional fabric, I had to design options, then select based on how much fabric was left. Having to "make do" forces you to become creative. All the same - I was hoping for a "greener" border. The binding will be the greeny/blue fabric.

The paper took over 4 hours to remove. Now that was a job! :)

I'll pop out to purchase the batting and backing in July. The LQS (2 hours away) does a 15% discount on the first Friday of the month.

In the meantime - I'll be thinking about the hand quilting designs.

Beautiful work Kiwi. The border looks fine and the greeny/blue binding will just set it off.
