I love the colors! I got over my fear of curves making a free form quilt also!

There is a pattern: "Eureka" by Maple Island.

Take 2 strips of fabric, lay them right sides up. With your rotary cutter, start about 1.5"-2" from the side, slice down the length of your fabric making GENTLE curves and ending about 1.5" from the side. Carefully lift only 1 side of the top piece & match it with the opposite side of the bottom piece. You have 2 different colors with curves that fit together. Don't bother to pin - simply sew slowly and keep adjusting the fabric together. The ends will never be even, just trim them off. Do the same with the other 2 pieces. You can make these strips as wide or as narrow as you want. Cut them to any length you want. As you can see, the straight edges are eventually sewn together and the sewn together whichever way looks good to you.

By keeping the curves gentle, you don't need to pin. I like to keep all cuts at least 1.5-2" from the edge as you may want to trim.

Any questions, I'll try to help.

This is a fun "arty-farty" way to make a guilt as quickly as I've ever done! I did one with all black & white prints -- my grandson couldn't wait until he got his hands on it.
