Oh I had to laugh the other day--the 4 year old looked in the cupboard I have my small quilts in and wondered why I had fabric in there. I think she was hoping to say she could play with them. Some of my older small quilts I've let the girls use for the dollies and guess she just thought she could have more!

Again thanks to you all. A word of advice--"STARCH" I have a general rule that I only use scrap fabric that's already cut the dimension I use so have lots of containers with 3/4", 7/8", 1 ", ... widths One learns to see value--not color, ie dark, light and medium and how light to medium can have the same impact as light to dark or medium to dark.
MollieSue--they are far from perfect, but still a joy to do.

Quilt Mom--Thanks. As I said earlier--use starch. I use StaFlo reconstituted in a 2:1 ratio of water to liquid starch. Pour into a spray bottle and you are ready to go at a cheap price. If the sprayer won't spray rinse the assembly with warm water.
One of the things I've learned is to be precise in cutting. I love the narrow black lines on Creative Grids rulers with the non slip backing. I have the 2 1/2, 3 1/2, and 4 1/2" sizes. I became even more accurate in sewing when I began using a 1/4 inch foot.
Good luck in sewing smaller!
