The center is a pillow panel that Walmart used to cary. any 16 inch square will work. The pattern also has ideas on how to make a log cabin star incase you have no center panel.

Love it, I also make donation quilts.This is one I would like to try. I went and got the pattern. Thanks for sharing it.

great quilt. I know he loves it. My husband is retired Army National Guard. 31 yrs of service. I am proud of your son's service and proud of you for your support to him. Most folks dont realise that the family is in the guard too. take care, another guard family.
