Very pretty. It's amazing how different a D9P looks depending on the placement of the blocks. I see pinwheels in yours. I like it.

I decide what size I want my finished block to be and how many blocks wide and long. If you use three colors, you need four of two colors plus one of the third color for each block. I just multiply 4 x the total number of blocks for two colors and one square for each block of the third color. The first D9P I did was scrappy so I didn't have to worry about yardage. I just made blocks until I had enough! Thanks for the kind comments.
